Bio

I've tried many different things over the years. This list could include running, tennis, and many different gym based classes.  Usually these pursuits required willpower to try to keep up and it worked for a while, but they came and went, and eventually maybe I tried to pick them up again.  In the early 2010's I found both yoga and improv comedy almost at the same time.  To my astonishment I still do both of these things almost ten years later.

Yoga and improv offer you a lifestyle where listening, acceptance, and community are at the heart of the practice.  Yoga encourages us to listen to our bodies, focus on the breath, and accept ourselves for who we are.  It has helped me through many changes and transitions, and it works in such subtle ways that lead to profound changes both on the mat, and probably most importantly, in real life.

My passion lies with sharing strong, fluid, breath-led sequences that help you build strength, find stillness, and share this experience as a community; and offering bodywork treatments that support the body to relax, relieve stress, prevent injuries, and promote physical and mental wellbeing. I teach classes for all levels and abilities, and my spaces are a safe environment for LGBT and BIPOC communities.

Training

In March 2017 I completed my 300-Hour training with the Jivamukti Yoga School at Govardhan Eco Village with Sharon Gannon, Yogeswari, Jules Febre, and Moritz Ulrich. I then completed my 800-Hour apprenticeship with my mentor Maria Macaya at Jivamukti Yoga Barcelona.  My teaching style is strongly influenced by the Jivamukti Method and I try to share all eight limbs of the yoga path in my teachings.  In 2020 I completed my Trauma Informed Yoga training with Maria Macaya's Foundation Radika, a non-profit established to offer support for those suffering from trauma and mental health disorders.  I have also completed an online Yin Yoga training with Travis Eliot.

In January 2020 I attended a Basic Thai Yoga Massage Course at Sunshine House Greece with Till Heeg.  This was a fantastic experience and in June 2021 I made the trip to Sunshine Massage School in Chiangmai, Thailand to complete an intensive 8-week training in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.  I have taught yoga in Barcelona and as a cover teacher at Jivamukti Yoga Bern, and Jivamukti Yoga Luxembourg.
